The Lodge's new digs have improved greatly. During the day, it's family friendly and at night, it's a pure bar. The bar continues to offer many bottled beers at moderate prices. More creativity needs to go into getting people to sample the oddities and perhaps start getting more creative with tap beers. Some bars have a card that gets punched or a mug club, but if that seems to be a little to college-bar type than perhaps come at night. It is very much like a college bar with a WBHS reunion theme. Anyhoo, the Lodge has that up-north theme but really is more of a sports bar. Pool tables are now upstairs and they have Texas Hold'em tournaments for points not money (so it's technically not gambling.) The old version of the Lodge always seemed cramped and near smokers even for lunch. Not any more, the dining area is much larger and not as jammed. The food really is still the same. However, they had an enormous pot roast sandwich with slaw and fries for $5.95 that I thought was fantastic. Both my wife and I got that. The steak fries were noteworthy and the pot roast was slow cooked, tender, and a touch salty as pot roast is known to be. Really quite good. Wings seemed to be popular and I'll get them the next time. Parking has always been an issue and it's my understanding that parking is available in a garage underneath the building. Since we went for lunch, we parked right out front. Summer months will include outdoor seating which is nice. The Lodge has a 1-for-1 coupon in the Entertainment Book with a repeat savings coupon monthly online.
